Almost nothing you delete in Gript disappears on the spot. It goes to the Recycle Bin, where you can find it again, put it back where it came from, or remove it for good once you are sure.
The Recycle Bin sits in the sidebar, under the More button at the bottom of the icon rail if you do not see it straight away.
What you deleted is listed by where it came from: one section per board, plus a Notes & Diagrams section for notebook pages and drawings. Each section shows how many things it holds, so you can see at a glance where the damage was.

Finding the thing you deleted

Restore one thing
Hover the row and click Restore. It goes back to the board and group it came from, with its column values, comments and files intact.

Restore several at once
Tick the rows you want, or use Select all in board to take a whole section, then restore the selection in one go.

Restore everything from one board
Restore all in this board, on the section header, puts that board back the way it was.
A restored item goes back to its original group. If that group has since been deleted too, restore the group first, or the item lands where Gript can put it rather than exactly where it was.
Permanently delete removes something with no way back. It is offered per row, per board section (Permanently delete all in this board) and for everything at once (Permanently delete all).
Permanent means permanent. There is no second bin behind this one, and support cannot recover it for you. Use it to tidy up, not to be tidy.

What does and does not go to the bin
Recoverable
Tasks and subtasks, whole boards, notebook pages and diagrams. These land in the Recycle Bin and can be restored.
Not recoverable
Things that were never really content: a column you removed (and its values), a group you deleted, a revoked share link, and anything you permanently deleted from here.
This is worth knowing before you delete a column, because that takes every value in it with it and it is not in the bin afterwards. Hide the column instead if you are unsure.
I deleted a task by accident. What do I do?
Open the Recycle Bin, sort by Newest first, and it will be at the top. Restore puts it back on its board with everything on it.
Somebody else deleted something. Can I restore it?
You see what you can reach. If it came from a board you have access to, it is there for you to restore.
Does the bin empty itself?
Nothing is thrown away behind your back while you are looking for it. Emptying is a deliberate act: Permanently delete, on a row, a board section, or the whole bin.
I restored a task but cannot find it.
Check the board and group named in the Location column of the bin row. If the group was deleted as well, restore the group and the tasks will be where you expect.
Where do deleted files go?
A file attached to a task travels with the task, so restoring the task brings its attachments back with it.
